Biography

Thomas Ballèvre trained atNational Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Parisfrom 2010 to 2012, then joined theNational Center for Contemporary Dance in Angersin 2013. He trained by working with artists likeOlivier Dubois,Herve RobbeandJan Fabre. Following the presentation of his first personal piece in March 2014,When the tooth fell out, he enriches his emerging work with numerous internships and collaborations with various artists such asBernard Baumgarten,Francois Stemmer,Anu Sistonen. He also collaborates with artists from various artistic fields includingMehryl Levisse,Emmanuel Eggermont,Pablo Albandea and theXXY Collective. He works particularly with video on clips, short films and installations. He notably embarked on the artistic/choreographic direction of the projectPlethorain January 2017. He also has his sights set on In Situ works such as the grand staircase withDecorative Artwithin the framework of Daysin May 2017. Above all, he likes to get out of the stage/public context, whether through installations, In situ performances, or via digital arts. This is amply felt in its creationSUPER[P]OSEpresented toLuxembourg Choreographic Creation Centerin December 2014. In 2018, he launched the projectAUTOPILOT, a reflection on dance stemming from natural and archaic reflexes. Destructuring of movement and gesture, states of trance: research linked to music, technology, science and beliefs. During 2019 he founded the collectiveOur Lady of Virtuesto host any type of cultural and event project. In 2020 he joined the projectNoetic Dances following his meeting with the artistNo3sis and Alexandra Radulescu. At the same time he is interested in painting, drawing and physical or digital visual installations. Go somewhere else he created his aliasSNSTRNSTNfor his musical project.
